Suffolk XC flights continue into autumn 2011.
The Suffolk league looks like it is to be a hard fight right up to the very end with only a half K separating the top two pilots.
This year a record number of pilots have left the field and set off into the Suffolk skies.
The power of hang glider tow launching demonstrated once again.
2011 brings record tow launches
A record number of tow launches so far in 2011 with over 10 pilots managing XC flights already.
54k is the target to beat at this stage to win that elusive Loxley Trophy.
The windy conditions over the last month or so have had little effect on our flying, with only one day deemed too strong.
The power of tow launching demonstrated once again.
Frist XC of 2010, the suffolk club demonstrating the power of tow launching
First XC of the year goes to RICH H (current Loxley trophy holder) who in bubbly conditions manages a respectable pre season 10km ending at a pub, who amongst us could ask for more from an early march weekend. When asked about contributing factors to his flight Richard said this
"When I came out to the field today I knew I was going to go cross country. No ifs or maybes, I was going to go. Positive thinking obviously works!"
